My 7 year old daughter has decided she wants to try softball this year since we’ve put a pause on gymnastics due to COVID and avoiding indoor activities.

As we were playing outside today, I had a oh no moment realizing I hadn’t considered what protective equipment she should wear. Now I’m trying to figure out how noticeable is it going to be if she’s wearing groin protection on an all-girls slow pitch softball team, if we should speak with the coach ( with daughter’s approval), and if anyone has experience with NGSSA…? I’m assuming, based on what I’ve read, that at this age she should definitely wear protection…
