Hello – our daughter is a junior at a public high school, and was reported by a fellow student for using the girls bathroom. The school told us her options are to use the boys bathroom or the one in the nurses office. I know that an appeals courts ruled in 2020 that requiring students to use a bathroom at odds with their gender identity is a violation of Title IX, so I’m wondering if any other parents have run up against schools not allowing this and how they’ve used the current rules to advocate for their child?
