UPDATE: This is a miscommunication – although we would not have realized if we didn’t know several people already in his practice, who all told us they were continuing care and had not been told of this. One messaged him directly in the patient portal and he stated that this is completely false. He does not see patients OVER 18. I called back this morning and have been clarifying with scheduling staff what happened yesterday, there is some confusing language in the scheduling notice that pops up that does make it seem like he is no longer doing ANY gender care . I’m waiting a call back from office staff directly. Hopefully this will get clarified with all scheduling staff so people aren’t needlessly turned away. I’m leaving this forum thread up though, in case anyone else encounters this false info, and because Aiden has provided a great list of other providers in his response below.

    ______________

We were in Hatfield’s practice essentially waiting till puberty – We did an intake early on so that when our daughter went into puberty she could get right in. Well now we’re ready and I was just told that Hatfield is no longer doing gender care and polyclinic is not providing gender care for anyone under 18 (which is the complete opposite of their previous stance). WTF happened? I’m livid that we were not told whenever this change occurred so we could have gotten on other waitlists.

Any recommendations for under 18 care in Seattle would be much appreciated
