    1. Go to Memberships–>Approvals in the dashboard sidebar.

    2. Verify the email of the person in the queue. If they’re a Yahoo Group List member or other authorized member, click Edit under their name. *If they’re not already pre-authorized, this is where they go into the intake process.

    3. Set their permissions. You need to do this in 2-3 places:

    • In the middle of the page, you’ll see the field for Groups. Click in this field and you’ll see the available groups you can add them to. Click all that apply. Remember that this is for Zoom meeting access and other site access, not forums.
    • Further down the page, you’ll see Forums. They will already be granted Participant role by default. If they’re going to be a forum moderator, choose Moderator.
    • A little further, and you’ll see Private Groups. This controls their forum access. Choose all the groups that apply. I’ve put “bbp” in front of these group names to differentiate them and make it clear that these permissions only affect bbPress (Forum) access.

    *Note: If you wish, you can also change the user’s visible screen name on this page. You may wish to make sure it’s set to show their nickname under “Display name publicly as”.

    4. Click Update User.

    5. Now, go back to the Memberships–>Approvals page and click “Approve” next to the person you just set up.
