Handling grief when your adult daughter begins to become your son

Hi, I found out my adult child is approved for Testosterone. They are in their senior year of art school. They are in a happy relationship with a man. They are certain that they cannot be a woman. It’s hard for me because they were always such a beautiful, girly, girl. We had such a close mother-daughter relationship. I’m doing my darndest to be supportive, but I cannot lie, I am in a terrible state of grief. Most days, I’m fine… but it’s a weight. Looking forward to transitioning to a more hopeful place.
