Multiple name changes

Our child just came out a few weeks ago and we were able to quickly change his name before school started. Now, at the end of the first week of school, he came home and announced a new name. My husband and I have had a mostly easy transition to the new name but we’re reeling with the announcement of yet another new name. I want to respect their need to find a name that he feels fits him better, but I don’t think he’s thought about the consequences of another name change. It doesn’t help that this child is 14 and starting to exhibit some very teenage behaviors that are also hard to deal with. Can we expect multiple name changes? How can we respect his choice while also helping him understand the consequences of these kinds of decisions? Any and all advice is much appreciated.
