My 6 year old daughter socially transitioned while in daycare/pre-k. She still attends that day care for after school care and most of the children there knew her prior to transitioning. At her new Kindergarten though, we have chosen not to disclose (Except the teacher and principal). Although there are a few kids at the elementary school that know because of the overlap with daycare, most of her new friends do not know. Now that she’s making close friends, I’ve had a few of the moms send me social media friend requests. I’ve accepted them, but then realized I’m now balancing a fine line between two worlds where some know and some do not. I, of course, have tons of social media posts from throughout the years that technically, I suppose if they go far enough back, then they would see information from before my daughter transitioned.

How are other families handling situations like this?
