My transgender daughter has been taking female hormones for about 6 or 7 months and is having PMS type symptoms, including cramps, every month. I went to the health food store to get her something for cramps, but they didn’t have what I was looking for. The man at the health food store recommended chasteberry, but the box said something about adjusting your hormone levels, and so I was hesitate to buy it since she is taking prescription hormones. Is it ok to take chasteberry anyway and will it likely help? I gave her magnesium last night and this morning and that seemed to have helped some. Are any of the rest of your transgender daughters having this issue and if so, do you have any recommendations? Will she likely experience these cramps for the rest of her life, if she takes female hormones for the rest of her life? Or will the cramps calm down some as her body becomes more use to the hormones?
